Training Day 2

Well I went for my second run after work tonight. I was absolutely shattered as I had the most stressful day in a long while but I was determined that I wouldn't fail at the second hurdle so to speak. So I got home and slipped into my running shoes for the second time in a week and went out. It has been the hottest day of the year so far and although the sun wasn't still out it was very warm.

This time I had to Run for 2 minutes and Walk for 4 - 5 times.

It was much better than Monday - I found it easier to do with the longer breaks in between and running for 2 minutes wasn't as bad as I thought - the last 2 were difficult but I felt so great when I managed it!

So a couple days rest before my next run on Sunday. I just hope that it doesn't rain all day otherwise I won't get to go.

I looked like a beetroot when I got home and my right calf muscle is really hurting but I am going to dig out the Tiger Balm in a minute and have an early night!

make sure you do some stretches before and after your run. I didn't do this when I did a charity run. My legs were fucked for a week after!

Everytime I exercise now, I stretch my muscles, I don't want to risk my leg falling off or something

I don't stretch before as stretching cold muscles will do more harm than good but I do warm up with a 5 minute walk first.

I do my stretches at the end though!
